clover's library book reminded me that when clover was born a dear friend bought us a copy of Brian Wildsmith's book,Favourite Fables.  
I fell in love with the illustrations and momentarily considered painting a Wildsmith-ish mural on a wall in the nursery.

i also love his name...wildsmith conjures images of an artist, storyteller... it's like a goldsmith, a worker of the wild.
